Did a power steering flush today by myself!

Friend did his 335i also at the same time.

Feel pretty accomplished about it, since I did my first oil change a few days ago too.

You say steel lines will also help? May look into this...
New OEM pads and rotors and I think I'll be good. BBK is too much money for me and I don't think I really need it given the car is used 95% on the street.
Pic of the brakes.
That looks like you cooked the crap out of the pads. You should not be depositing material into the cross-drilled holes like that. I had that happen when I used auto-x pads at a road course. They are simply not up to the challenge.

With proper pads, your rotors should last. We run Carbotech or Potterfield when road racing our Acuras. 48 hours of hard track time on a set of OEM Brembo rotors and they are still fine to use another season.

Cheers,

Since it's hard to find/produce a carbon fiber replacement for the ac/stereo trim. I tried this stick on option that was cheap. And it actually turned out pretty good. Fitment is good also

Currently at the conclusion it could be the MAF or O2 Sensors.

Also got my new belts!

Our cars don’t use a MAF sensor. It has MAP sensor but all it does is read manifold pressure, and nothing really affects it. You’ll get a code if either O2 or MAP is faulty.

I meant the intake sensor that's connected to the plenum, as for O2, it won't always give you a code, I was at a BMW Service Techs house, he said they don't always give a fault code, and another member said it could be a stored fault code

You have 2 different weave and finish carbon fiber right next to one another and one of them is a sticker over plastic. Not a fan.

EDIT:
Sorry I sound like a d*ck. To each his own! If you like it, that is all that matters. Forget what I think, "I'm just a peckerwood who lives in the hills with too many guns."

Not to poop on the party, but same sentiment here. It is too much in my view not to mention the difference and weave and fact one is super shiny and the other not.

Poop aside, glad you had a project you enjoyed and are happy with the result. The work itself looks stellar! If I did that, think I'd be cursing bubbles and ironing out wrinkles for the next 9 years.

250-300 (150-180 miles per tank) is my normal mileage, but then 95% of my driving is local, around town, stoplight to stoplight. I assume you are mostly highway?
O2 sensors, perhaps?

Little easier than I thought. Hopefully you don't have to do a lot of work to get your M button to fit. It'll look real nice once it's in there!

Absolutely loving it! There's a lot more bass and deep V8 rumble in the low RPMs now, something I missed from my previous E39 M5's crazy exhaust setup. Yet it still screams up top like the MPE. There's a decent amount of drone below 2500 RPM but since I'm rarely ever in that RPM range I don't really mind.

Here's a clip of revving and a take-off from the outside. Headphones are a must otherwise it totally misses the bassy exhaust tones.

Short clip of in cabin sound with the windows down:

Drove out of town 60 miles over lunch to get it past the new warranty 1000 mile requirement. I like these silly excuses to get out into the country and drive.

What is the 1000 mile requirement?

Warranty I purchased activates after minimum of 1 month and 1000 miles, I guess so you don't have a known issue and after 50 miles say "oh hey, this broke!"

Ceiling collapsed in the garage due to a neighbor's faulty water heater a couple days back. Thankfully I actually took the Bimmer to work that day because the collapsed area is right above the hood of where I park.

So of course it has been thunderstorm city here this week and I don't have the E90's home! Get to put some miles on the car while things get fixed up at least.

Not really highway but I don't really get hit by red lights, even then I've done a few highway runs and it's pretty bad, wouldn't be surprised if it's O2 sensors, and it's not a bad idea to replace them at my mileage either
