South Florida Dealer Markups
What has everyones experience been in South Florida with dealers trying to markup cars? I have an order in at a dealer down here (Broward County) and my salesman knows I won't pay a penny over msrp (I have purchased 4 cars from him including 2 E36 M3's, an E46 M3, and a 335i for my wife). I went into Braman Miami last week and they had a Flat black coupe with a big "Ask the salesman" sticker about dealer markup. I would have to assume they are looking for between $80-90k for the car. At that level, just get an M5 or 997S, cause you are losing so much money the minute you buy the M3, its like double depreciation. By the way, the car is so beautiful in person. I can't wait to get rid of my Boxster S and get back in an M!
Also, does anyone know if the 2009 m3 will have any changes? Thanks! |

Both South Motors and Braman are asking for huge mark ups. Go up to Ft. Lauderdale and they are selling them at MSRP w/ no mark up. If you need the info of the guy I'm dealing with PM me. Really cool dude.

Reeves in Tampa does not mark them up. They have two demos in stock - MR/Bamboo sunroof coupe and SS/FR sunroof sedan and will sell whichever one goes first. My CA is Mark Bianchini, who is excellent. No affiliation...

lauderdale bmw, pembroke pines. msrp. Although I was offered msrp on an order over e-mail at South BMW this week. seems they know the market is just not as good as they hoped. Braman asked for 20K, and then said same on any order for the next year or 2. I told the guy, um, do you know there are other places in Miami ordering for msrp? He replied he wasnt gonna let 20K go... A wekk later they still have the car there. ridiculous.

Hello everyone. 1st post to site. I stopped by Vista in Pompano and they had a red coupe with $10,000 markup. That brought the price to $80k. They were telling me Braman had a $25k markup.
Also, they claim to be getting a 135 in before the other dealers. Gave CA my # to call. |

Can we just stop the insanity, please? This will never be a "limited production vehicle". It wasn't, it is not, and never will be as long as it is based on a mass produced vehicle and the sales projections are in the one hundred thousand for its run. This is strictly a MSRP car right now, and way below MSRP within 6 months. Anything else is just a game of gotcha!! And the more suckers out there are playing that game the more difficult will it be to just stop this ADM stupidity as soon as possible... If you are a previous customer as you said your were, offer at least $1000 below MSRP to the same salesperson and start from there. Just call the bluff... |
