Question Where to buy red suede?

Where, online, can I buy real red suede? I keep coming up with faux stuff.

Also, is there somewhere I can buy black diamond stitch vinyl/leather w/red stitching? I know where to get it with plain stitching, but I want red if possible.

Looking to make my own custom door panels for my MS6.

I’ve been to Jo Ann’s before and they have suede. Can’t remember if it was real suede

Any upholstery shop can get you whatever you want. Whether it be a full hide or just some specific sized pieces.

I would not buy real suede (back side of leather) for your door panels. It would get nasty pretty quick.

Most auto manufacturers use alcantara which is faux suede. Real alcantara brand stuff is pretty expensive (~$100/yd) so I'd go for the off-brand stuff.

Example:

Just to be clear, suede is split leather. Rough out is the back side of a full hide.

I had faux stuff in my Miata & the sun faded it to hell. That's why I don't want to go faux this time.

Suede gets nasty when it gets moist. Go for alcantara and tint your car to protect interior against UV.

But first, do a 'fashion-Bill-Cosby' and check yourself in for some therapy before you commit a real crime.

If you're looking for Alcantara, that is just a fancy Italian company name. Search Ultrasuede and a bunch of links will pop up, which is essentially what alcantra is. Only real difference is where it's made. Japan vs Italy.
