I was under the impression that the e9x m3 relies on a certain volume of gasoline for fuel pump cooling purposes and that's why it's so critical that we don't run out of gas. I was also under the impression that's why the low gas chime comes on at 1/4 tank rather than the normal 1/8 tank. I could be wrong though. Anybody else chime in here?

Mine is coded for 1/8th. Do not know the answer to your question though.

1-Try measuring volume of a fluid accurately with ANY sensor in a moving car.

2-When the warning pops up is codeable.
