Ticking noise when taking off in first gear, no other time

I just recently bought a 08 e90, so I'm not sure what noises are normal and what aren't. I am hearing a ticking sound when in first gear, moving forward at around 2k rpm. It is typically sporadic ticks, roughly 2 per second and generally 4-6 ticks total. It does not happen if I rev the car slowly when stationary and from what I can tell, it does not happen in second or any other gear.

I am wondering if this is normal? Is this a rod bearing noise? I would think rod bearing noise would be consistent and present even when stationary. The noise sounds similar to the ticks and pings you hear as an engine cools down.

Thanks for the help!
