Works Bell System lasted about a year and then failed. The switches just failed flat out. And Turnersgroup is a waste of time.
I have moved on to the KMP set up and its plug n play and great customer support. And M Button!! https://www.kmpdrivetrain.com/produc...wheel-m-sport/ Alright so here is what's going on. Cage is going in over the winter and I wanted a removable steering wheel for the car. Problem is DCT. Well this seems to have solved that issue. What is at work here is the Works Bell Paddle kit which I have talked about in another thread (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1222905). This kit unfortunately isn't plug in play as the connectors are not the right size. However these are a simple switch just like the OEM so all you do is snip and rewire. Yes this does hack up your button but you only need the side where MDM is. I went a head and bought another set of buttons for pretty cheap as Insurance. On the MDM note. The way I have it done so that it comes automatically on is to bridge the connector on the back, this indicates to the ECU/CAN the the M button is active thus MDM. Next in the line is the Krontec QR with 22 pin connector. Now you don't need the 22 pin connector but I thought I was going to be wiring a lot of buttons through it. They do offer an 8 pin connector which is plenty, you need at least 4 for the paddles, leaves you 2 for a horn and 2 empty. The Button plate is the Raptor Race, they have a Pro version but this suited my needs, made by Summit Technologies out of the U.K. Super easy to work with and came in 2 days. This basically is 8 Buttons that are built into a circuit board. This then talks to a central box that all you desired functions wire into. Here is more of an explanation (http://summit-technologies.myshopify...mmable-version). The lower 4 buttons will control my AIM MXG unit, the 2 right ones will be for my cool shirt system and the diff cooler. The other 2 will be used later for something, still thinking. What is nice about this system is you can make the button momentary or on/off and no running wires or curly cord. So this is still being installed but I will do an update once it is all in and working and a video. Please don't hesitate to ask me about the set up I have done a lot of research.

Yeah the krontec is definitely the best QR on the market. Your can get it without electrical connection or 8 or 24 pins.
Connection is super solid with no play.

M Button we solved by connecting the contacts on the back of board. This way the M button comes on by default. Really no other way around it that I have found.

although it is really clean and looks great, what is your goal with this steering wheel? it just seems like a lot of time and money, but maybe because i don't understand the benefit.
better driving positioning? significantly less weight? easier to get in/out? better "feel?"

Also the functions on the steering wheel become a comfort thing. Not having the search for switches when driving having it all very convenient.

Roastbeef - try getting out of a caged car with a fixed seat, full NASCAR door bars and the steering wheel in place. Oh, and do it in 10-15sec when the car is on fire. Removable steering is a must.

I have a fixed halo seat and the stock steering wheel, but BECAUSE I have Nascar-style door bars on my cage which give MUCH more room to the driver instead of the more standard straight "X" bars that go past the driver's seat which is much tighter, I don't have ANY problem getting out of the car quickly. I had to prove it at Global Time Attack a couple weeks ago. They didn't think I could get out of the car in time either. Starting with being strapped in, I was out of the car in less than 5 seconds. (They were surprised.) It's all because of the Nascar style door bars. They give you tons of room to be able to get in and out. (Here's a pic before I had my halo seat. There's plenty of room. I'm 5' 10", 170 lbs.) |

Volume up/down Voice control/phone (never use these I can save for cool suit later) Track up/down Mdm (seems like mdm isn't as easy as the other controls?) Audio output (Seems silly but badass factor is up there!) Pretty much just need the up down buttons on both sides and the mdm button. For the mdm button is there something different vs the other buttons that you had to keep a loop to constantly tell the car that it's on? Or was that the solution you were looking for? I'll check your other thread in CSS you wrote it up there.

M Button has no on/off function is it wired to always be on. I can change traction control from MDM to off with the buttons from the center console.
