e92 M3 track handling improvements
I have an e92 M3 specifically bought for track use. I wont use this car on road.
I have installed KW Clubsport 3 ways, 265/295 18" tyres and made some slight weight savings. I really do not like the way it handles. The body roll is terrible and there not much steering feedback. I am looking for suggestions of ways to significantly improve the car with reversible items as if I still don't like it Im going to sell. Thanks. eta. I drove a friends CSL on track which at the time had a 'lesser' suspension and I immediately felt comfortable and in the zone. Last edited by petrolheed; 09-25-2015 at 04:10 PM.. |

suspension tuning wont matter on your body roll much like sway bars... thats wat you need. front and rear. dont add just front. I have it like this and it understeers too much. also go square, but with nitto nt05 or maxxis rc1. those will also help a little on body roll. i was also on the fence to change to an e46, but I am stubborn and I wanna try to make my e92 very enjoyable at the track.

Standard spring rate that the Clubsports come with - 110Nm front and 120Nm rear plus helpers. Quote:
Weight saved is mainly from interior - rears seats removed and all the rubbish in boot as well as front seats removed and replaced with SPG's. Weigh in around 1540kg. |
