Painted Exhaust - post your pics!
Looking to see some images of your painted OEM exhaust. How has it held up? What paint did you use? Any regrets? I'm thinking about doing the OEM exhaust mod and figured I would get it painted at the same time.

I'll take some pictures of mine for you. I had the muffler portion ceramic-coated matte black and the tips ceramic-coated gloss black. Came out beautifully and has held up without issue.
FYI - Rattle can won't do the trick. No matter how well you prep it, the paint still needs to be baked on there. |

Meh, I spent like seriously 15 mins using BBQ paint and it held up fine. Didn't even do that great of a job cleaning the muffler off either.

On my previous muffler, I prepped the entire can (washed, sanded, and alcoholed) and sprayed light coats of high-temp BBQ paint followed by a clear coat. It held up for 6-9 months and then started flaking off. |

Mine was still on at the 8th month mark, but who knows if it was going to flake after that. And I didn't even prep it like you did. I literally wiper the muffler down with degreaser and sprayed that BBQ paint right on

Mines held up for maybe over a year. I don't recall exactly when it was installed. It's also 2,000 degree paint with ceramic and keep in mind that the x pipe gets much hotter than the muffler.

Here's mine with painted tips. I only sanded it down for prep and just used the same paint as the above post. I've only had it for about a month so far. Sorry for the dirty car, she's a dirty girl.
