Replacing Rear Tires - Mismatch

So when I bought my e90 m3 used...the dealership had put new front tires only (Michelin PS2). Now I need to replace my rear tires.

Would it be okay if I went with new Michelin PSS in the rear instead of Michelin PS2?

PSS are cheaper...should last longer....should perform better. Would running mismatch front and rear tires be a big issue?

Whenever possible, it's always best to use identical tires. This helps you maintain optimum control, stability, and safety while driving. Matched tires also wear much more evenly. If you are just street driving the car normally in decent weather you shouldn't have much issue at all.

As far as wearing evenly...wouldn't that be a non-issue since e9x m3 cars are staggered fitment wise anyways? It's not like we can rotate tires (with stock fitment)

Yea, with the staggered fitment tires tend to wear unevenly anyway.
