Does 3M vinyl wrap 'fade'? (Need to re-do a couple panels)
Does anyone know if 3M 1080 vinyl wrap fades from the sun?
I would like to get 1 panel + front bumper + a few other small bits re-done as they are damaged / needing to be redone. I have found a reputable shop in my area to do the work, but am uncertain if the color will match due to it being about 1 year old. a) 3M 1080 Pearl White vinyl b) About 1 - 1.25 years old c) Aside from regular daily use, the car for the most part (lets say 75% of the time) was garage parked. So except for when the car was in use, most of the time it was stored in a sheltered (eg: no direct sun) environment. Thanks. |

I doubt there'd be a drastic color change if the car doesn't sit in direct sunlight that much. 3M vinyl is fairly robust. When I had to re-wrap a panel on my M3 2 years after it was initially wrapped I couldn't tell the difference at all. Color was matte blue FYI.
