2012 was a big year for C&C: We have over 750 subscribers on the email list, we expanded to a number of new locations and saw some great cars! Back in 2009, Kirk and I started C&C as a gathering of like-minded gear heads who enjoy discussing all things automotive early on a weekend morning. From all we have heard, others enjoying Cars & Croissants as much as we do.
Now as we wait for the temperatures to rise and the vegetation to turn green again, we are getting ready to have another great year. We realize some of the dates for C&C will conflict with other meets, events, etc. and as such please do worry if you miss onethere will be another in 2 weeks. Finally, as we have requested in prior years, we greatly appreciate the respect/courtesy most of the attendees have displayed at our meets. As some of you know, finding locations for these meets is not easy. Loss of even one hosting location will greatly limit the ability of having these meets. So please encourage any of your friends or invitees to follow your display of consummate gearhead manners! Here, with further ado, is the calendar for 2013. Sat, Mar 9 Sun, Mar 24 Sat, Apr 6 Sun, Apr 21 Sat, May 4 Sun, May 19 Sat, Jun 1 Sun, Jun 16 Father's Day! Sat, Jun 29 Sun, Jul 14 Sat, Jul 27 Sun, Aug 11 Sat, Aug 24 Sun, Sep 15 Sat, Sep 28 Sun, Oct 13 Sat, Oct 26 Sun, Nov 10 Sat, Nov 23 Sun, Dec 8 Sat, Dec 21 Yahoo Group info: To join the Yahoo Group, send an email to candcnj-subscribe@yahoogroups.com You can leave the group by sending an email to candcnj-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com The link for the C&C Yahoo Groups Page: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/candcnj/ taken from... http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/n...hatham-nj.html Just an FYI, this Sunday, March 24th Paul Miller Porsche will be hosting Cars and Croissants from 9:30-12. 250 U.S. 46 Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 07054 (973) 227-3000 |

We will be meeting tomorrow, Saturday May 4 at a new location (given our other locations are not available). The good news is that, for many of you, you get to drive your cars more to get there! The details:
Hacklebarney State Park 119 Hacklebarney Road Long Valley, NJ 07853 Time: 8:30 to 11 am More info on the park: http://www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandf...ks/hackle.html For those of you who have been on the previous Drive for the Kids charity drives, this has been our halfway point rest stop. When driving there, take Route 206 (into Chester) and turn west on to Routes 24/513 for one mile to State Park Road. Turn left. Go 2 miles. Turn right on to Hacklebarney Road and go a half mile. The entrance is on the left. (If your GPS suggests going through Pottersville, I would suggest not doing that -- the road going to Hacklebarney from that direction is one of NJ's finest examples of pothole disregard). Also, a hint -- careful with the potholes at the entrance to the park and come in at an angle slowly if you have a very low front end on your car. When you arrive at the park, go to the far left side of the parking lot -- that is usually the empty side of the parking lot. This is a beautiful park, with some good trails -- you may want to take a hike along the stream after C&C. There are some picnic tables nearby and there are restrooms down the trail to the right. There is no food available, so you may wish to bring your own. As usual, no burnouts or engine revving please. We'll see everyone there tomorrow. Supposed to be a beautiful day. |
