It shouldn't effect anything just give you more sound. From what I've heard more rasp so it's recommended that you do the OEM mod instead because you'll get better sound out of it. I would recommend that you listen to a few youtube video's. Everyone has different taste and preferences so who knows you might love the resonator delete sound and if you do then go with that and you won't have any problems with it.

You will be fine unless you cut out a cat thinking it's a resonator.

i had a custom muffler setup with a resonator delete. all my cats are stock and not touched. no codes.

it was 80 bucks at a local muffler shop, well worth it.

Did they cut the resonators out and replace the resonator section with pipe keeping the X pipe shape and configuration essentially intact?

I'm just curious what the point of a resonator delete is. Resonators usually make the exhaust sound better, and they aren't really much of a restriction, especially if you still have all the cats intact.

i did a resonator delete with a OEM mod exhaust.

IMO once you touch the cats you step into grey area .once you tune you also go into grey areas.

just not sure i wanna mod this car that far or not.

Pulling the resonators out makes the exhaust sound worse IMO, but no - you won't get any faults from that.

Pretty difficult (impossible?) to trip a CEL if you change anything after the cat converters.

Removing resonators makes it really loudy and tinny/raspy/marbles-in-tin-can, especially when cold. Not really worth it IMO.
