Hey guys,

Just joined m3post after picking up my new-to-me E90 M3 (purchased on 5/9). I've had 3 E36 M3s (lots of DEs) and raced with SCCA in an E30. I have a 6-month old baby boy now and decided to get a "family" car.

I'm on the board and the Chief Instructor/Driving Events Chair for the KC BMW Club. I might have met some of you at the Flat Out Classic.

Unfortunately we typically get pretty low turnouts at the Thursday meetings (like you went to). I think you'll find our membership is pretty fun...it mostly consists of gear-heads and motorsport enthusiasts that happen to like BMWs.

You can find all the activities/calendar on the kcbmwclub.com website. We always meet at Panera on Shawnee Mission Parkway on First Saturdays for breakfast (much better attendance than the 3rd Thursday meetings). On 6/1 we're doing a Fun Rally after breakfast followed by a picnic. It would be a great event to come to and meet some fellow BMW/car nuts.

Hope to meet some of you at the rally/picnic!

Ryan Staub

Yeah. PM me next time there's an event after this weekend.

I hope I wasn't insinuating that I had a bad time at the meeting. For a guy new to M3s, it was a very laid back and welcoming group.

Is there more information on this 'Kansas Nights' and this 'Breakfast Cruise Group' you can share? I have been to several Fast Friday events...but haven't heard about these other two gatherings.

I saw your AW M3 in the two Fast Friday events I went to...beautiful car!! Very jealous!

I got an alignment from Kendall at Auto Tech Service Center off of Shawnee Mission Pwky. My understanding is Kendall used to be a master tech at Baron BMW before opening his own shop. I got this recomendation from a number of local e46fanatics forum guys. I was happy with his service.

The Kansas Nights info:

https://www.facebook.com/kansasnights

It looks like we will be skipping that though since there is an import show and drift event in Topeka tomorrow as well that sounds better.

The Breakfast Cruise group is here:

I didn't take it that way. It's just unfortunately that our Thursday meetings that used to get 40+ people are now averaging 5. That said, we seem to get better numbers than we used to for the First Saturday breakfasts and other special events.

Agreed - Kendall is great. Lawson - I'll see you at the picnic on Saturday!

Bummer - I hoped to meet you. Looks like I'll just be able to make the picnic (with wife and baby boy).

There's a chance I'll make it to the breakfast/rally solo (w/o family).

I haven't registered for the event yet even though it says you must do so. I am going to wait until late Friday to decide what to do depending on the weather. My car is a trailer queen so it never sees any sort of bad weather.

If it dries out today, I should be good to go. Assuming so, I should be able to stay a bit longer than expected so maybe we can meet up after all.

I'm so ready for this rain to stop!!!

Sounds good. I think the rally will end at the picnic site. I'm hoping to get there by 12:15 to 12:30.

The Tech - good to meet you at the picnic! Is there anything you haven't done to that car?!?! It's awesome!

We had a very good turnout at the KC BMW Club picnic and it was great to talk cars with some fellow BMW nuts.
