Anyone has had any problems with the BMW Performance Steering Wheel?
Next month, I'm thinking of getting this one: http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 Any issues? hard to install? Any input will be great! Thanks |

I've had mine installed for about 3 months and haven't had any issues. Installation was easy once I figured out I had to puncture the back of the wheel to get it to release off the column.
It took me a while to get used to driving with it though. To me, it kind of felt at first like I'd put a sweater over the wheel. On the one hand, I was trying not to grip very hard because I want the alcantara to last.... and yet I found my fingers cramping from because the alcantara slides through your hands easier and it takes a bit more effort to "hang on". Maybe I should wear my driving gloves from racing Don't know if that makes sense? I really love it now though and don't think I'll be putting the OEM wheel back on anytime soon!

I recently installed the non-electronic performance wheel and it does feel a little weird to me. I used to have an alcantara wheel in my ZHP, but I think this wheel feels a little weird to me because it does feel thinner than the stock wheel. I think once I get used to it, I'll like it though...
