buying used exhaust system..
Hi,
Im planning to buy a used Remus exhaust system including Fabspeed x-pipe and OEM connecting pipes. What do you recommend me to look/ask , for example on the O2 sensors, bolts required, etc. He told me that it is a bolt-on, no need to reprogram computer and I can use my current O2 sensors from my primary cats. Thanks for your help. |

Yes, you use your sensors from your car. You may get a CEL since the cats are deleted so be aware of that.

looks like the Remus exhaust is just the mufflers, using the OEM connecting pipes from the mufflers to the x-pipe assembly. so yes the connecting pipes would be needed.

doesnt sound like a complete bolt on. you need the connecting pipes with the muffler for it to be a bolt on. cutting your OEM connecting pipe means you will need to weld them to the muffler, same goes for the x-pipe just and x-pipe without the primary cat delete will need some cutting and welding. having just and x-pipe without a primary cat delete usually doesnt cause a CEL.

Deleting the secondary cats wont make any engine lights come on so no worries on that.
Not sure theres much benefit in deleting the secondaries since they are smaller though. |

Deleting secondaries and resonators alters the sound of the exhaust. More agresive sound. I just don't understand why go through all the labour to weld oem cats which are most restrictive and not upgrade to hfc and weld those bad boys instead. Doing that route would provide extra 20 hp easy
