TE37LS Final Decision
So i Decided to get a set of TE37Sls. The following size:
19×9.5 ET22 Front 19×10.5 ET22 Rear I did some height calculations and am guessing I should run a 265/30 on the front. Is that correct or can I fit a 275/30 on stock suspension without rubbing? The rear is still a mystery, I was considering running a 285/30 like alot of people seem to be doing, but I was wondering if I could do a 295/30? Please let me know what you think, and also how limited would I be as far as track worthy tires in those sizes. Because prior to this train of thought I was going to go with the Apex set up of 18 x 10 ET25 with 275s all around.

I have some TE37 Time Attacks, 19x8.5/19x10.5 30mm/25mm f/r (on PS2s). I found one other person running that offset, S65B40. Based on conversations with him, I'm running 295/30 in the rear w/a 5mm spacer, and a 255/30 up front w/a 12mm spacer. Stock height, no rubbing, but I have a sedan. He has a coupe that is dropped, and also said he doesn't rub after he went with the setup he's running...

I am considering it, I just leaned towards the 19s because I think they look a little better. What size tires could I run with the 18s would it still be 265/275 front with a 35 sidewall and 275/285 with 35 sidewall rear? If thats the case I am sure the little extra sidewall would help out on the track. My concern is just whether that little bit of height on the sidewall would make enough difference in handling to choose them over the look of the 19s. I think the weight difference between the two sizes is only about 1.5 pounds.

I used to have the same wheels. I had eibach springs and yokohama AD08 275/30 front and 295/30 rear tires. Ad08's are probably the widest / squarest street tire available. I ended up adjusting my suspension to maximize negative camber in order to make them look "right" (tires stuck out past fenders). The fronts ultimately fit without rubbing (I have run 275's on all my wheels since then). The rear rubbed slightly on large dips in the road even after the camber adjustment. You may be able to eliminate rubbing in the rear with a more rounded tire. 295's on the rear with that offset will be tough to fit if you go really low on coilovers but you should be ok on stock suspension and neg camber. The issue is the offset - 10.5 et 27 allows 295's without problems. The other tire size I would consider is 255/35 & 275/35. That size won't rub but the tires will look a little stretched.

im running the TE's as well, my specs are 18x9.5 +22 front and 18x10.5 +22 rear with michelin PSS 265/35 front and 285/35 rear. theres no rubbing at all, and im pretty low with my car also! my alignment is -1.75 degrees of camber on all corners, if i wanted to fit a 295/35 in the rear itll be no problme! hope that helps!

i have 19" te37sl's with a 9.5 +21 up front and 10.5 +22 rear. I'm running 255/35 and 275/35 in PSS's. Both front and rear look stretched similar to stock zcp's. 265/30 and 285/30 should be no problem.

Here is a client's car with a similar setup to what you're considering:
19x9.5 +22 front, 19x10.5 +22 rear, 265/30/19 front 295/30/19 rear AD08 Hopefully this gives you an idea of what it will look like.

If u go with 18"s, 265/35 and 285/35 would be an ideal combo.
For the 19"s, I'd go with 255/35 and 285/30, the M3 GTS size combo. Then again, the wheels you are going to get is 0.5" wider than the GTS one in both F&R, so 265/30 and 295/30 should be good too. I have 19" te37s in the exactly same spec as your OP, running 255/35 and 285/30 with no problem. I am also lowered on KW V3, no rubbing at all. |

The 295/30/19 would work on the rear of your car on the 19x10.5" ET22 TE37 Super Laps, there have been a few members that run that same exact rear setup. The Yokohoma Advan Neova AD08 comes in that tire size.

So far I am leaning towards the 275/30 fronts and 295/30 rears, with PSSs on them. Now to just find someone who has them in those offsets, it would be nice to buy the tires from the same people so they could mount/balance them. I found two places so far but I am not sure if they sell/mount tires.

How so? Maybe my definition of "stretched" is wrong.
This is stretched:

Pilot Super Sports don't have that square edge look like, for example, AD08's do.

I run 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 with 265/35 & 295/30 AD08s (street) and 255/35 & 285/30 Hoosier R6s (track). There were 19's on it before but the more concave look of the 18's won out.
Also, having a little bit of a margin of error (vs 19s) is always nice. Never know what you might encounter on the street. Oh yeah... they also happen to be for sale (and willing to make a deal). http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=780951 |
