3/4 Nov - MSR Houston CCW - Driver's Edge
I know James H and Dan M will be there. Anyone else already sign up? If you didn't...its already full except for the red group.
Dan...I just got INPA installed on my laptop. I think it can turn off the "Check Mirror" light issue that Phil mentioned.

I was apparently very close...there's some debate about it.
I think someone with their wife in a Mini from this board will be there too.

My best drifts and best lap.
An eventful weekend. Rained like crazy on Satuday. Then Harren butchered a turtle in gut check. Ironic..."HARE"n (tortoise and the hare) ran over a turtle in gut check where the turtle guts laid until it got stuck in numerous wheel wells from getting ran over.

I was there with my wife, but we both are driving different cars from when we signed up. We were both in the green group - our very first HPDE. I was the guy in the VO 1M, and my wife was in her carbon black 2013 135is. We had the time of our lives!

Awesome! Hope to see you back! I didn't see another VO 1M, where were you parked? I was near TXmtrhead with his VO 1M under the canopies.

I'm only 226 miles away...
@klepper...I didn't even see you then. I was one of the guys that Rick intro'd in the 2nd green class. Next time, find Dan in the silver E46 with all the stickers on it. Pretty good group of guys and gals and VERY entertaining. Just be prepared for lots of un-PC'ness! I would drag you over but I'm moving in Jan.

You also probably didn't see my car sitting right by the exit, as I would have been in the grid as you were coming off the track. |

Looks like the previous owner did some mods on your 1M; I saw a different exhaust and grills. Anything else? Not sure when my next event is but hope to see you again! |

I bought this car in Dallas from fellow forum member Das Ein. What a great guy he is, btw. Super easy transaction, easy to deal with, and a fun guy as well. For visual mods, the car has shadowline grills, M side markers, and rear M symbol, as well as blackline tail lights. For performance mods, the car has an ETS 5" fmic, Berk mids, and Magnaflow cat back exhaust. But after this weekend, it is completely obvious to me that the biggest thing holding back the performance on this car is ME! It has way more performance than I will ever be able to tap. I am looking forward to more learning and more fun on the track! |

My car is now back in the mix and I have signed up for Dec 15-16 at TWS and for Jan 26-27 at MSRH.
A couple of tweaks to the car during the down period: Completed removal of front carpet, air bags, wiring harness, installed carbon fiber roof, replaced spark plugs, replaced fuel filter, installed TMS rear control arms, and installed Bimmerworld 3.5 exhaust. I may not be able to drive faster, but the car will definitely look like its going faster. |

Yeah all of you E46 guys are trying to change the game. Although you are the only one actually tracking your car (Daniel and Jeremy) right now. I might have to go into the lab during the off season to keep things interesting ........Phil

I'm going to run TWS on 15 Dec and then MSRH on 16 Dec with TSS. I finally did a day at PDS doing all 8 runs. I couldn't imagine doing 16 in two days. That would be insane. Plus my track boyfriend Dan will be a TSS so I need to be there.
