Yes I've seen that video, the passengers' reactions were priceless. This car makes your palms sweaty for sure. Never been excited and scared at the same time Test drive one. And I only drove a 2011. Can't imagine what the 2013 feels like.

OP, a while ago I started a thread just like this. I haven't gotten the GTR yet but I still think about it quite often. The day I started looking up pricing online, the same day the stock market started going south and yet to recover so I can't really justify spending the money now (I still enjoy my M3 so much too). But I tell ya, once the market bounces back (if it does) I'm sure I'll start looking into it again. Bottom line, no one would blame you for making the jump, youtube videos makes it look like a formula one car with doors.

A little off topic but... I heard a while back that Nissan was planning a 4-Door GTR of some sort. Rumors were a GTR based Nissan Maxima. I could see some E90/F80 guys jumping ship if Nissan came out with something like that.
Back on topic. I love everything about the GTR, except for the front end. Not a fan of the straight front lower lip. |

I would go after the GTR ASAP. If you already had a M3 get the GTR! The new GTR Interior is a lot better then the old. DO IT! M3 interior isn't all that like people keep saying it is.

Better get one soon. Might not be anymore in a year or two.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I actually like both cars for similar yet different reasons. The M3 is the most sensible all rounder fun sporty car with decent luxury for the money. The GT-R is the most sensible all rounder super car money can buy. It also is equally fun in its own way. Specially seeing cars twice its price being demolished by it on the track or drag strip. All the while being under full factory warranty without any insane mods.
The difference between the two off course is obviously in the delivery of the method to there madness. However, each is unique and special for bringing some thing awesome to us mere mortals that are not millionaires or billionaires. You have been lucky to own one so why not try the hand at the other now .

I came from a GTR. No regrets. I would get a gtr for cruising or for the track. It's not a daily driver for most, especially for those with kids.
The m3 is a far more enjoyable all around car. But the GTR is an experience that if you can afford is worth it at some point in life. Jeff |
