[QUOTE=ZCD1;11405579]Right, cause we all know that everybody on dragtimes.com tells the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help them (fill in the deity of your choice) <facepalm>
FYI, if you didn't know in order to post your time on dragtimes.com you must preset your time slips this how they keep info as accurate as possible just go dragtimes look up any vehicle click on the time and another page will open up with pic of actual time slips and additional info as well. Anyway, what do ISF 1/4 mile times have to do with the OP's question? If you look I was responding to AudiS5 and his comments regarding 1/4 mile times and speed of S4 how it can stay with IS-F to 150mph etc, so I used source that Alex07M3 used on this thread to show 12.6 1/4 mile run that S4 made. He made claim that S4 is hitting 12.5 mark and lower and that would match M3 and IS-F stock 1/4mile times, so I went to same information source and could not find the data to supports those claims. |

Regardless, who's to say whether what's represented there as a "stock" car really is stock?? That's what I meant by <facepalm> The 12.698 is indeed the fastest stock B8 S4 time I've seen, and was from a 6 speed manual transmission car. The best tuned B8 S4 run I've seen was 11.793 @ 116 mph. (this car is a DSG - like BMW's M-DCT) Last edited by ZCD1; 02-23-2012 at 11:37 AM.. |

In fact , from what I've seen on dragtimes and in front of my eyes at the track , if you were right , the B8 S4 would be the first AWD car that could not achieve a 1.7 60ft , is it possible , NO ! Take my example, I do 13.1 with my M3 , I did the best I could , does that mean no one can do better , absolutle NOOOOOOOOT ! |

I'm maybe not as good as you say but I can tell you something , I have at least 300 1/4 mile run AWD and with each and every set-up i've had in my cars , i've always made better 1/4 mile times then what I could find on the internet ! (exept for my M3 ) Maybe I haven't drove the new S4 (I've raced it twice) but I can say that I'm pretty good a analizing 1/4 mile data for AWD cars ! And even if I don't know you , I think it's safe to say that you don't really know what your talking about and that you probably passed a lot more time on the net then at the track !! Now I'm finish and I'm pretty sure time will show my point !

[QUOTE=Alex07M3;11385699]here's a time slip of my 2 friends against each other , both JDM STI engine in 2002 WRX , both exhaust , downpipe and tuned (350hp) !
one did 1.6 , the other did 1.7 , it is good but not unlikely at all ! I think it's amazing how your friends with their 2002 model WRXs were able to go so fast (apparently faster than the speed of light, Einstein notwithstanding) that they time-traveled all the way back to 1998 to create their time slip. Anyway you saw the slip of my A4 with skinny tires doing 1.7 and also I've look on Audizinne and theres plenty of S4 rolling in the 12 and 13 who does 1.7 , even 1.6 ! I really don't see why the B8 could'nt , exept for bad driver ! I mean , my 98mph TT was doing 1.7 , what else do you need !!? Last edited by Alex07M3; 02-23-2012 at 09:32 PM.. |
