Custom Services - Exhaust Pipe Polishing
One of our custom detailing services include exhaust pipe polishing.
Why polish exhaust pipes? Well, simply because we want them to look good! You've just polished the rest of the car, dressed your wheels and tyres and glass is clean. The only thing left to do on the exterior are the exhaust pipes. Polishing removes water marks, stains and contaminants around the tips. It is a must for show cars! What methods are used when polishing exhausts? 1. Metal polish paste/wool (main method) 2. Various grades of sanding (depends on material and coating) Either method can be done by hand or machine. Do they stay clean for long? This E46 M3 has stock stainless steel exhaust tips. 18 months after exhaust polishing, they still look like new and they are very easy to maintain |

Custom Services - Wheel Waxing
Another one of TWD's custom services - Wheel Waxing
I had a client who purchased set of BBS CH-Rs for his M3 a couple of weeks back and wanted to get them waxed. Why Wax your Wheels? It's the same reason we wax our car - Protection (and that extra gloss). This process helps repel tar, brake dust build up and other road grime from your wheels and inside the barrels. This system makes cleaning your wheels a lot easier and is recommended for anyone who is looking to purchase or just purchased a new set of wheels, although it can be performed on any wheels. TWD recommend cleaning your wheels weekly. What is the Procedure for Waxing your Wheels? 1. Clean your wheels - use an acid free wheel cleaner 2. Dry your wheels using a clean microfibre. 3. Clay the wheels and wipe of any residue. 4. Optional step - light hand polish (non abrasive) 5. Use a pre wax cleaner to ensure the surface is ready for your wax. 6. Apply a wax (wheel wax or car body wax) to every section of the wheel (Face, barrel, behind spokes, lips, etc) 7. Once your wax is cured, wipe of wax. 8. Apply a sealant. It's really up to you what products you want to use. It's also easier to remove wheels before starting. Typically, this process should last around 6 - 8 months, depending on driving style, storage, maintenance, etc. Before: Notice brake dust on the face & grime and tar build up inside barrels. After: Glossy and unmarked. Fitted to car. |

Custom Services - Headlight Restoration
Another service that TWD can provide is headlight restoration.
What is it? Basically taking a yellow/fogged up/tired old headlight and making them look like new! (Yes, we usually only work on Prestige Cars, but this is the photographer's Barina!) How is this restoration achieved? It's a process of thorough cleaning, involving polishing or wet-sanding. Pictures: Take a headlight that looks like this: And turn it into this: 50/50 shot - Drivers side headlight unrestored. Passenger side headlight restored: Both headlights restored to new: Another view of a restored headlight: |

2001 Bmw E46 M3
Car: 2001 BMW M3
Service: Stage 2 Paint Correction Comments: - Car had swirl marks and minor scratches all over the paint - With the swirls & minor scratches gone, you could really see the depth in the Carbon Black paint and the clarity of the blue metallic flake in the black paint. - The owner was given plenty of compliments after picking up the car. People couldn't believe it was a 10 years old. - Unfortunately, no before photos as the car was given to me late one night in the rain. Fortunately, the car was delivered back to the client on a sunny morning. After Photos: |

Car: 2006 Subaru Liberty 3.0R Spec B
Service: Stage 2 Paint Correction Comments: - Car barely washed and not garaged. - Paint felt like sandpaper and had plenty of stains, marring, minor scratches and scuff marks. - After Stage 2 paint correct, the car felt like glass - Proper water beading and sheeting were evident again. Check out the before and after photos! Clay Bar after first pass of boot lid: More finished shots: Now with water beading: |

2001 E46 M3 - Carbon Black
Car: 2001 BMW M3
Service: Stage 1 Paint Correction Comments: - I got this car early Saturday morning just before the BSM 325ci was picked up. The car was to be prepared for the Sydney German Car Show, so we were pushed for time. - After getting some custom body work done to the car and a fair bit of money spent on paint work, the car needed a good detailing. - Previous detailer had left holograms in the paint, wax marks everywhere and failed to make the metallic flake visible in the carbon black paintwork. - Lower portion of the body felt rough (heavy build up of dirt) and there were a minor swirl marks all over the car, including some watermarks on the boot lid. Also some scuff marks and marring in certain areas. - See the photos for results. Not many, because we were pushed for time. Notice the flake in the carbon black paint and with swirls gone (given only Stage 1) it was a pretty awesome finish. The car looked fantastic at the show and the owner and I received many compliments about the work performed BEFORE: |

2005 BMW 325ci M Sport
Car: 2005 BMW 325ci M Sport
Service: Stage 3 Paint Correction, Engine Bay Clean, Leather Condition & General Interior Clean Comments: - Car was delivered on a weeknight. The owner went on holidays for a week, so I had it at my place. He was considering selling the car. It was pretty straight with original paint (rare) and apart from a few small stone chips on the front, a small chip on the passenger door and a mark in the rear bar, it was pretty immaculate. - Car was kept clean & washed regularly, but it had heavy swirling which was obvious under sun/lights and watermarks mainly on entire bonnet and roof. - Side indicators were yellow and slightly faded so they were sanded and polished. - Leather had a few stains on them from baby food and overall dry leather. - 3 Stage brought out all swirl marks, also brought out some heavy scratches/marks from the paint work, made the metallic flake visible and the owner was VERY impressed. So much so that he doesn’t want to sell the car! Before, During and After Photos below: BEFORE: |

1998 BMW E36 M3 Individual
Car: 1998 BMW M3
Service: Stage 3 Paint Correction, Leather Clean/Condition & General Interior Clean Comments: - This vehicle is rarely driven (maybe around 500km a year). It's parked in an undercover parking lot, but covered in dust and bird droppings. - Very heavy scratches all over the car especially on the bonnet and the boot. Swirls/spiderwebs everywhere! - Bonnet is covered in watermarks and bad etching in the paint work. - Sand and dirt on the leather, Steering was chalking & interior needed a good clean. - No panels have been wetsanded, under owners instructions. There are plenty of photos taken, so keep scrolling down. I've divided this up into 2 parts - Exterior and Interior. I've also got Before, During and After for both parts. Enjoy |
