Initial Break-in Highway driving ...
Hi Guys,
I have a question regarding driving speeds on the highway during the initial break in. The manual says not to keep the same speed and rpm for a long time. How would you interpret this? How long is a long time? Would driving at 120km/h for 1 hour be long? or 15 minutes? Anyone know the answer to this? |

I have no concrete answer, but for the 900 km drive home after my purchase, I drove above and below the speed limit; 4th, 5th and 6th gear; part throttle and the odd full throttle; never past 4,500 rpm. I was so amazed by my car I could now help but test out the throttle, clutch and brakes all the way home......
I think that an hour 1 one speed is nothing to be worried about.

I tried keeping mine off the freeway whenever possible. Obviously this in not always a possibility.
