New 3/4 series M-Sport brakes interchangeable w/ E9xx?
I saw a set on a car @ Sebring @ a NASA event & it looked like a nice setup F&R. I'm figuring someone will want to upgrade those to get a 'real' BBK & some sets may come up for sale.
Wonder if they'd retrofit?

Even if you could get it to bolt on, chances are the master cylinder and brake calibration is for different sized pistons. So it would totally ruin the braking performance of the car.
Most aftermarket brakes are application specific so they make sure the brake calibration and bias is compatible with the stock brake system. You can buy an Stoptech ST40 for the front of the M3 and an ST40 for the rear and the piston sizes and internals are different even though the caliper body is the same.

Okay, thx for the replies, gents.
I've seen brake setups interchangeable between Gens on some other cars & was curious abt this between the E & F iterations.
