Gintani Stage 2 6MT - 1/8 Mile Run - 8.195 Seconds @ 94MPH

As the season comes to a end here in Toronto, attending the drag strip was one thing I had to do since I boosted my M3. It was my first time ever running a car at the drag strip and it was much different then doing a dig race on the street I must say lol. Some runs I was just spinning the whole way down the track which was frustrating and made me realise how much better the car would perform with a set of DRs.Traction issues were present that day, Unfortunently there was no option to run a 1/4 due to weather condition so it got shortened to 1/8. My best time that day was 8.195 seconds @ 94.4mph I wanted to share my results since there is not a lot of 1/8 times available to use as a reference. I know mid-high 7s will be achievable with DRs, I was on Michelin PS2s 245 in the front and Toyo R888 275 in the rear on the OEM Style 219 wheels. My Gintani Supercharger held up really well, after consecutive passes the engine temps were not rising much it stayed cool at all times, there was no limps. I am really happy with the way it performed everything was flawless. Now for next time hopefully I can get some 1/4 mile times in and improve on this one. That is all! for now..

Very close to what I ran in the 1/8mi in November at DOR II. Ran 8.039@95.75. Did the 1/4 in 12.11 122.53 on that run. Same issue as you, no traction, very tough to launch the car hard on street tires(AD08 295/30-19). On this run I left very easy, no wheel spin at all, then laid into to it in 2nd gear.

I'm going to a Mickey Thompson Street Et II's this season. Hoping to get down into the mid to low 11's. My tuner set my car up with a 3500rpm rev limiter so I can launch more consistently. Also, he tuned in flat foot shifting. I'm supposed to be able to shift without lifting my foot off the gas, but it's so hard to not lift. Kind of a reflex action at this point.

Yeah its tough to crack low 11's being 6MT, but it's definently possible with a proper DR set up. I was at a 2.0 60ft which is not so good, I think we need to be at a 1.8 or so to have some seriously impressive times. I would love to get a launch control on my car.. PM me some details!!
