Top Gear reveals...
Did anyone see the most recent Top Gear on BBC America? The segment on the Cosworth Mono, showed the M3 and GTR around a 90 degree corner. Trap speed of 90.25 mph for the e90 M3 and 91.43 mph for the GT-R. 103.98 mph for the Cosworth. Not bad!! Straight line, GT-R for sure! Around corners not so different!!

Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool they used the M3 as a measuring stick--not once, but twice, if I recall (the other time might've just been Jeremy saying something about the M)...

They always use the m3 as a yardstick. As much shit as Jeremy gives BMW and BMW owners he readily admits that the e9x m3 (specifically the e90) is one of the best (if not THE best) cars ever produced. Watch his review of the e90 m3..."before you used to be a cock if you owned one, but now you're a cock if you don't"

yeah, but M3 is likely trickier than the GTR to get that corner speed consistently. I take the M3 is all about not loosing momentum during the turn to maintain speed throughout the full turn.
but what do I know? I'm just a desk racer. |
