Sound Check: MRF Mid Pipe with Akra Slip On

A couple people asked what my car sounds like with the MRF catless mid-pipe hooked up to the Akrapovic slip on. Well...it sounds awesome

Car is a Beast and sounds great , but look out for the cry babies that will be like" You where on Public roads, you could have Killed everyone" lol

Thx. Yeah it was particularly stupid as I had a couple strippers and a bunch of blow in the car. I was totally high. Not sure what I was thinking

That's loud in a good way. I will have a problem if it's a daily driver.

I'm not gonna lie...coming from a 335 with only downpipes, even the stock M3 was loud in comparison. So this set up initially was like...jeez. But like anything else, you get used to it.

The GoPro is picking up a certain frequency (rasp) that I don't hear much in the cabin. It also isn't picking up the bass at all. If I get a phone call or want to listen to music, I just upshift at 2,000 RPM which is before the bass sets in at between 2K and 2,500 RPM.

My "driving normally" segments here included upshifts at 4,500+ RPM which I love to do most of the time because you get that "pop" sound at each upshift. But it wont do that at lower RPM upshifts.

Still, yeah many wouldn't want it for their DD.

Thx Yeah good idea...I'm running a meth line under the car (into the trunk) so I think I will get a mic wire and run it along the same line.

It has a deep, low "bass" sound just off idle and also between 2K and 2,500 RPM which the GoPro can't pick up. There is no drone with the Akra thankfully.

Sounds Great adam. Let me know if you want to borrow my external mic to use with the gopro. It will really help with capturing the sounds.

Adam, the car seriously picks up some speed.. FAST!

Awesome video, I love the sound of the MRF mid-section paired with the Akrapovic rear. One of the favorite combinations.

I will do an in-car vid of daily driving and post it up but I don't think the GoPro or my dig cameras will be able to pick up all the sound...particularly the bass. When just daily driving, the car isn't loud. But you can feel it from far away because there is a lot of bass tones, particularly from 2,000 to 2,500 RPM. Not drone, but deeeeeep bass. It's actually quite something and people walking by can feel it...but barely hear it. People are always like WTF was that ?!?!?
