The independent shop that subcontracts to Momentum Southwest did a great job on my rock chips. I worked it in with part of some other service at Momentum BMW. They're right across the street from Momentum, but I don't know their name.

Did they tape up the surrounding area and just fill/spray the chips? I have an ugly one about the size of a pencil eraser, that I have made even uglier by trying to touch it up, up on the hood of my SG colored sedan. |

JCE, I did the same thing - did a crappy job trying to touch up the rock chips myself -in about 15 places, and they buffed it down so the paint I laid down was only in the holes instead of big smears [me painting = fail], they also touched up various parts on the front air dam (for free), and pulled out a couple of door dings.
The real painting they did was on my back bumper. I think they pulled it off and painted it. They did a GREAT job matching my 15-year-old factory paint (bright red). I was amazed.

Body shops usually don't have touch up guys, since they make a lot more money spraying the whole damn thing.
You should look for independent contractors. Usually dealerships can find you contacts. I actually did some paint chip repair myself last year. I also have a random orbital buffer too. If you like I can certainly help you out. |

I have to say Mike at Royalty Paint and Body does a great job. I've, unfortunately, had to pay him tow visits and he is by far the best body shop I have ever worked with.
