Fuel Cap Sticks
Every time I try to remove the fuel cap, it sticks in place. I can turn it to the left for release, but its difficult to take the cap out of the fuel filler neck. I even applied a thin film of grease to the rubber seal in the cap. This helped for the next cap removal, but then it was stuck again the next time.
Anyhone else have a similar issue? |

Not here, but it's a POS system. Why not just freaking threads?
Mine feels like it doesn't even seal properly, but guess it does, as no CEL. Still, it doesn't make sense it's sticking. Check both the neck and cap carefully. And if by 'jamming' you mean it takes a good amount of force (not too much, but some) to start turning left, it's normal then. Also make sure you SLOWLY turn it clockwise to lock it until it 'clicks', just like a torque wrench. Don't turn it too hard . Good luck. |
