Where to buy Corsa Exhaust. Prices gone up?

Came back to an E92. Researching threads on exhausts. Decided on Corsa. Previous threads members buying around $1500. However pricing now is $2300. What changed, why is the price so much higher now?

For $2500 I'd probably do MPE.

Was bummed after all the research to see it priced higher now!

Anybody know what's up?

Not sure on the prev. price on corsa. If it did go up, i'm sure inflation has played in factor.
You can pick up MPE for 2300 i believe on getbmwparts right now.

85% of the world's currency was printed in the last 2 years roughly. Unfortunately that makes everything more expensive.

I'm in finance, and I understand economics.

However a 50% price jump in 3 years seems excessive. Other exhausts have not jumped that much, many are even lower priced as the car is aging. Dinan is my 2nd options, which can be had for less than 3 years ago.

I was wondering if they changed the exhaust, added pipes, or functionality to the exhaust in the last couple years to justify the 50% price increase.

That's a horribly misleading stat thrown around. I remember reading it a couple months ago and pretty sure that stat was referring to US dollars in circulation, not the entire worlds currency. Even still is misleading because that's just the physical dollars floating around the world and not referring to all USD IIRC. Regardless inflation is a bitch.

The USD is the world's currency. Every bank, equity, commodity ect is traded in USD. That's why we have a huge army, to make sure everyone follows 'our' rules

Back on topic though I'm pretty sure Corsa exhaust has been the same price for a decade so it didn't jump 50% in a. short time. Eventually prices need to go up when technology can't cause deflation.

Agreed - misleading as money is printed to replace old money and a majority of that printed money is for that purpose alone.

Either way I lucked out and paid $1800 for a brand new one last year since I got a friend in the aftermarket business 👍

Thanks for the tip. Corsa is going for just under $2k shipped. I see posts from 2018/2019 of forum members paying $1500, but I guess that time is long gone.

How did you decide on Corsa vs. Dinan?

Dinan was too quiet for my tastes, it is more of a gentleman's exhaust and I want something louder. Corsa paired with a catted/resonated x-pipe sounds mean and F1 like but tame when cruising and no drone at all.
