Newbie E92 questions

Hey guys. Im in the process of purchasing an E92 M3 2008/6 MY with 65000KM and Dinan exhaust these rod bearing threads have scared me enough that I will surely be purchasing the third party warranty as well.

My question is with the third party warranty will I have to run tws10w60 or can I use M1 10w40 as I dont plan on tracking the car and maybe hit redline a few times a trip once its warmed up.

i'm not sure how they would know unless they do an oil analysis or you tell them.

My third party warranty requires regular maintenance be done at dealer... So. They'll know if my oil isn't right as I won't have a record.

Most (if not all!!) third party warranties in Canada are owned by Industrial Alliance...
