So tried out the low burble tune today. Definitely not to my taste, way too much like a popcorn machine. I was upshifting to shut it up. If it was just a single pop or bang, it would sound good. My car already does it already while cold, it would be cool if that could be replicated.
Going back to my previous tune. May send another request to replace this map, as I'm not sure it's actually bumping up the redline to 8600. |

Installed the engine and DCT tunes a few days ago and very happy.
The DCT tune definitely feels the most noticeable of the changes, gone is the jerk when setting off from a stop, and all around shifting fees smoother. Other interesting thing is the stumbling idle on cold start is now completely gone, presumably because the cold start has been removed. Very happy about this! Question for anyone with a start/stop equipped car, does yours still work after the tune? Mine hasn’t since installing the tune. |

I’ve not tried it in S6, my main takeaway is it’s much smoother than the original tune. Perhaps a bit faster shifting in S4/5, but I honestly never had a problem with manual shift speeds previously.
Literally only been able to drive it around the suburbs. For the money it’s easily worth it. |

I'm afraid I don't have a point of reference as I've never tried it in my car before, but with the Alpine GTS tune you definitely feel the shift, there is no slurring or slipping, it really bangs into gear. The biggest take away for me with the tune is takeoff from the lights is now super smooth, no jerk as the clutch engages. Worth it for that alone IMO. |

Nope, you are good. No problem with losing the tune.

probably a dumb question, but it's been over a year with my Alpine Stage 2, is it recommended to reflash periodically for any reason? like to clear adaptations or anything? I am tempted to go back to my tube without cold start deleted.. also, has anything changed with the base tune that I need to request a new file or can I use the >1 year old version in my email
