up north here i rarely get a really hot day. did one weekend this last summer with 95ish both days and about killed me. i wore shorts to drive for the first time.

my days of driving in the 100deg temps are over....and we are not aloud to wear shorts....i hit multiple days last summer that were all over 100deg and i swore i would never do it again... this year we have several days in the summer that are at laguna....i have been waiting for our organization to do this for awhile...nothing like a track day on the coast when its 100deg at home

I'm one of those guys that is putting his street wheels back on in the dark and the last one there usually but those hot days take a lot out of you. I did fine but wouldn't want to do it all the time especially in a suit racing.

lmao yup im the same guy...always swappin my wheels back and forth...but i have completely lost it as i always clean each set inside and out before putting them on or away....

Same here. Have a spinning bar stool I use to set them on for cleaning.

Now that I will be using a trailer my track wheels won't be off the car when I get home which adds another step, time for an ezcarlift!

I bought a new house and that was my plan as well but just would have screwed up usage of all my bays. My solution is going to be a scissor lift I think so I can get it a couple feet off the ground. Better than nothing and as much time as I spend working on it I need something.

I'm over 50 (barely) and I can confirm you won't want to be on the ground fixing a car.

The appropriate use of fuzzy logic when convincing a significant other on the need for a lift must include the strong argument about how much safer it is to work on a car on a lift vs. wobbly jack stands...

Yes I'm mid 40s and don't like laying on the pavement for 10hrs, makes my back hurt. That being said I do it anyway when duty calls.

Or someone leaning on the car from the other side not knowing u r under the car. Trying to get away from jack stands as well.

Love this topic though. I think "The racing suit" is one of those topic that everyone has thought about, but scared to post on

Just did a racing school remotely where they provided suits. My first time EVER wearing a suit. I must say, it's was awesome being able to take that thing off, throw it in the trunk of the car, and drive home in clothing that didn't smell like I just came from the gym, which suck on those 280 mile trackday drives. Although I have admired them for a while, the wife finally got me one for Christmas, and STILL I'm embarrassed to put it on.
I think it's one of those thing that it's good to have for few reasons e.g. Hpde advance run group, safety, and of course Halloween

They sell used NASCAR suits for super cheap. As you would expect, NASCAR teams use some of the best suits money can buy. Yes, you will look a bit like a tool wearing a suit with sponsors on it, but you're already going to look like a tool wearing any racing suit :P
