""The BMW M Laptimer and GoPro integrations have both proven to be incredibly popular with driving enthusiasts," said Christian Schmid, senior development engineer at the BMW Group Technology Office USA, in a release. "From the time that we launched the first in-car integration for a GoPro camera, bringing that integration together with the BMW M Laptimer seemed like the natural way to really enhance the track driving experience. This allows us to provide BMW drivers the ability to safely capture and share their track experience."

I have driven multiple M2's and I am not sure why you guys are disappointed. It is different , but I would not use disappointed as a word to describe it. It is a great car in every aspect. I would not replace it with my E92 M3, but I sure would add it to the stable. The M2 has so much more potential with minor modifications. And the N55 sounds great.

I'm still getting adjusted to the stubbier body style, but even that's growing on me. A highly capable chassis, and an engine prepped for mods, I think it has lots of potential. I think it's one of the best M cars produced in the last 10 years....especially since it's so tossable (almost Cayman tossable, ALMOST....but that's high praise). |

To be honest the N55 M2 felt slower than my E36 M3 euro being around 200kg heavier and not much power difference (321 vs 370ps). I guess M2 competition is a much better buy now with the S55 engine.

With OPF standard since 2018, M2 comp sounds a lot more refined but I personally like the aggressive "fart" of M4s. M2 just sounds muffled to me. Maybe I am too JDM in taste..

Not track related, but I actually trust BMW way more than Porsche. I didn't buy either car new or even from the dealers that replaced the engines.

I owned multiple e92 m3 f80 m3 and an m2. apples and oranges.
m2 is a great DD w good torque around town and feels tossable. manual was great. But lacks the emotion of the NA cars at higher revs. you only hear gushing wind as the turbo drowns out the motor. I had mpe and dinan.. so great daily but not really a weekend fun toy.

out of 01 m3 manual, 05 zcp SMG, 08 m3 manual, 08 m6 SMG, 11 m3 zcp, 06 m5 SMG, 15 m3 manual, 17 m2 manual. Top 3 are easy. 08 m3, 08 m6, and 05 m3 zcp. from there it's harder. m6 w eisenmann race is just wicked. but overall m3 08 manual was splendid dd. 3. 05 m3 zcp. ripping that i6 was kick ass so high strung. if a track car then #1. 2. 08 m6. best motor of all time. 1. 08 m3 manual. something bad ass about a 4 door manual sedan with a race motor in it. I only owned the f80 m3 for 4 months. numb cold no emotional connection. m2 for 2 months. good daily driver, and liked it better than the f80 m3 however not special enough. is there life after e9x m? yes. I bought a 14 R8 V8 w Kline race exhaust. Exotic looks w NA race V8, sounds better than my M3 w MPE and Eisenmann race. I'm still envious of you guys w S85 or S65 motors. thought to buy one but too similar to the R8 that fills my needs. I have a 16 535 m sport for DD. but once the m2 falls to $30k i plan to pick one up for a daily.

I had an F82, lowered, full Active Auto exhaust, tuned...and it was beautiful (tanzanite blue with the white interior), and even had the CCBs. But after 6 months, sold it. I did track it 3 times, and loved it on the track, even though it could be handful with the traction control off. But outside of the track, it just wasn't me. Loved the way it looked though, Ultimately I came to the realization that how the car sounded and "felt" as it wrapped around me was extremely important, especially since I tend to drive A LOT of miles, taking long trips and such. Moved to a 2013 M3, no regrets. Actually, I wish I owned 2, and I likely will...the next one being an E90 or E92 manual, and supercharged.....my current one being a DCT E93 which I love. If not another E9X, then maybe a Cayman/Boxster GTS with the old flat 6. Or, if I keep saving, then an older GT3, or an older Audi R8. It's slim pickins' though, now that I've been spoiled by the thrills (and comfort) of the E9X platform. |

My dealer fixed several issues under warranty on M3, one of which was with the car when it still had numbers on it. They knew full well it was a tracked. Another friend has a brake service done under maintenance after cooking his X5M brakes at a track day. No questions asked. |

I tracked an M2 at the BMW Experience in Greenville, SC and it was so much fun on the track. It was rocking Continental ECS and they did not break grip under the most extreme punishment.

The ///M2C is a bitchin' car, but I wouldn't trade my ///M4 for one. I would take an ///M2C over an E92 ///M3 though, and it would be a tough choice between an ///M2C and a clean ZCP E46 ///M3.
