The DCT is the first thing to start complaining so half a lap of no shifting every 5-6 laps is necessary. Oil gets hot but never in the danger zone, coolant is fine. Switching down to a 5W50 from 10W60 actually had a noticeable affect on oil temps. I also run 25% coolant to 75% water. Maybe some of that along with having slightly less weight is my silver bullet? |

I just looked at my trans cooler and AC condenser...I wouldn't have much confidence in them now 70k miles later. Which is probably closer to the issue that a lot of people run into. If you add bolt ons, stickier tires and make the car faster...you will likely need to upgrade the cooling system. There are other ways to do it than adding more and thicker radiators. Just depends on the direction that you want to go.

Might be a long shot but since you've tried everything else, check to see that item #20 oil cooler air duct is not missing. I ran without one for a while (didn't know it was not there) and when I replaced it oil temps dropped by a significant amount.

I can confirm internal aero behind the coolers is very important.

UPDATE
Thanks a lot to everyone who is helping with this. So, I was at Big Willow last Saturday with Ambient ranging from 70-90F. I got the message once in a session post lunch and did a cool down lap and continued with the session and everything seemed fine. Lap times were 1:34 - 1:36. I’m 100% sure the vented hood is helping a lot because its been a while I did 20 min sessions(anything more than 4 laps). I’m still not convinced 100% just because of the nature of the track(high speed sweepers). Will be checking the oil cooler ducts and be hittting another track in November. Hopefully it still lets me do a full session. |

i still think you have air in your system. i run in the 1:33-1:34 range at big willow and don't come close to overheating. its not really one of those tracks that heats up a car. you're using three gears for the whole track and for most of the track, you're forcing a lot of high speed air through the radiator.
i came across this video on the subject a little while back and found it useful.

I was feeling the same way. Being able to do a full session blinded my thoughts TBH. Was hoping to goto another track immediately but I have to pause all this for few months since something urgent came up. I will get on top of this once I’m back next year.
