Yes, side pictures please.
I want to see how tall the rollbar looks from the side. I'm thinking about doing this but a full rollbar looks too tall when the top is down. If one shortened it to, say, the top of the seats, then it would have a more tapered look from the side view. And since the e93 already has BMW's rollover protection device built-in the rollbar only is really necessary to attach the seat belt to. Other than that is purely cosmetic. |

I'm not saying I'd do it, but I can see why someone would. Most clubs require roll protection that's taller than your helmet. I'm not sure what the rules are regarding the E93 M3, but he removed his factory seat which has the built-in roll protection. If he likes tracking his E93 a lot and wants to run bucket seats, this is the only way to go.
Using an E93 as a track car is a whole other story. But I'm sure there are guys in spec miatas looking at my pig E92 M3 with a cage and thinking the same thing. It's all relative.

the rear seats are now completely useless with the bar in it. i'm guessing the bar is bolt in so it can be removed when its back on the street? i would guess when its in track mode might as well ditch the rear seats so save any more weight on that car. or is this all just for show??

It's a whole experience in itself that only vert owners get to enjoy. Quote:
I really wanted to see what it looked like in an E93 though, I would do a weld in much thicker if I decided to go ahead with it.
