UPDATE
Here are a couple more pictures of the rear cage. The Down bars are now tied into the rear shock mounts and welded 360 around per NASA rules. Also a few pictures of the notches on the cage to show they are flush. Since we are running our sub frame reinforcement special till March we dropped the sub frame on this car too. While the sub frame was done we replaced the rear end with solid mounts, and bearings where needed. Solid Subframe and differential Mounts Monoball Bearing Rear Trailing Arm Bushings Adjustable rear lower control arms Upper Monoball control arm bushings The sound deadening of the interior is removed. |

We have a few updates on this build. We have finished reinforcing the sub-frame and put everything back up. Along with this we have been making some rear aluminum panels for the deck lid, side panels, and to close off the trunk. They are all test fitted but not fully in place. Once everything is set i'll get some pictures. Also we made an aluminum driver floor pan panel.
Right now this driver floor pan is bare aluminum but once everything is painted we will put some grip tape on it. |

This weekend will be the first race for this new build. Right now we are doing the finishing touches such as mounting the wing, seat, and corner balancing plus alignment. The cage will be unpainted for the first race however once it is all put together we will snap some pictures. For now here are some pictures we have missed.
Below is the picture of the suspension set up on this car. Springs are just ones we had laying around for a good picture. The next two pictures are of the custom C&R Heat exchanger with built in oil cooler. Along with this we made a custom fan shroud to hold it to the radiator instead of using some quick electric fan mounting kit. Hoosier tires mounted up on the apex arc-8 wheels. |

JRZ RS Pros?!?! looks like an unstoppable combination of parts.
things look absolutely sick!! do you guys plan on sharing dynos and spring rates or is that confidential for racing competitive reasons?

Thanks Guys!. The owner had his first race this past weekend at autobahn Country Club. Things went great especially for this being the first time the car has been on track. Also this was the owners first time racing cars even though he has experience with karts and open wheel cars. There were no major issues besides adjusting the suspension. However the build is not complete yet. We have more to add, but this weekend the car was put together with what parts we had as we wait for a couple things. We are waiting on the clutch set up, windows, vinyl's and more.
Also the cage is unpainted but we are taking it apart this week to send over for paint. Once that is all set i'll get some interior pictures! Also flip sorry we do keep the spring rate confidential along with the dyno graphs. I can tell you the car is built to run slicks. So you can guesstimate how much power and weight by NASAs rules. They worked just like they were supposed to at the track. The driver could feel the adjustments when a few changes were made to correct the understeer. The adjustments were nice and simple besides having to get under the car to adjust rebound in the rear because of having a coilover rear. Which there is nothing you can do about that but its nice to be able to have the car go out for a couple laps during practice and have them come in the pits for quick adjustments.
We had one minor issue with the lines the day before the race but a local indy car team had parts in stock to fix the problem |
