Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

These use a proprietary forging technique by Volk. They use two forging processes, one at 5,500 ton and one at 3,000 ton.
For the sake of technicality, these are not 8,000 ton...but it also does not mean they are inferior to "8,000 ton" forged wheels. Quote:
19x10.5 ~21 lbs And your brakes will fit under the 19" version no problem. |

Thanks Frank. You don't need to convince me of VOLK's quality. I just thought these were 8,000TON forged.

I have a dilemma on my hands. Frank showed me a few pictures of an E90 with 20" G2s and I have to say they look spectacular. I just can't decide if I should stick with 18s or go with 20s.

Im guessing the 18" version will clear my AP Racing BBK? 368/356 rotor size, 6 pot front and 4 pot rear.
So the specs are 18x9.5 +15 and 18x10.5 +27 ET?? Im looking for a track set up. Are the G2s cheaper then the TE37s or vice versa??? Im looking to run 265/35 front and 285/35 at the track.

18x9.5 +15 and 18x10.5 +27 are the correct specs. The 265 would not fit on the front due to the aggressive +15 offset. We actually recommend a 245 up front to avoid any clearance issues, although a 255 may be possible depending on tire brand. The 285 out back would be no problem. There is also an 18x9.5 +37, that could be combined with a spacer. This would allow for a 265 or even 275 to be run up front by adding a 10mm or 15mm spacer. I know many are opposed to spacers, but if I were looking for a track setup, this is what I would do. The TE37 is a bit less expensive. The TE37 is also only available in 18x8.5 +15 and 18x9.5 +22, no 10.5. However, you could run the 9.5" on all 4 corners. The other option from Volk that I really like is the RE30. This is available in 18x9.5 +25 and 18x10.5 +25. This would allow for the 265 up front and 285 out back. The RE30 is also one of their lightest wheels at around 18 lbs. |

FYI, Volk/Advan pricing will be going up shortly due to exchange rates. If you are considering a purchase, I would recommend purchasing before the end of the month!!!
*We do not know how much of an increase, we were just told "an increase" from the distributer |

Thanks for the info Frank.
Still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do for my track set up. BBK clearance is a must.

If the 18s clear my brakes, I'm in.

With the TE37 et22, and them being 18x9.5, can I run 265/35 front and 285/35 rear. Is 285 to large for a 9.5" wheel?
I understand why most guys run a square set up, but for me the rear end gets a little too frisky with the squre set up. Frank what do the TE37s run for?

The 18x10.5 is a very good fit for the rear of the M3. The front is where it is a aggressive setup requiring careful tire selection. The rear is aggressive but not an issue. |

Ok, got word on brake clearance
18" RE30 will not fit with 380mm Brembo 18" G2, 19" G2, and 19" RE30 will clear 380mm brembo, however clearance is very tight. When installing wheel weights you will need to be careful on placement. |
