ESS 625 install advice?

The hose routing for the HE is something I thought a lot about when I used to have my kit at VT2 spec. Routing the hose to the drivers side hookup of the HE is tight. If I had to do it again I would have trimmed the front clip around the hole I used. However, you would probably have to remove the front clip to make the trim.

A good dremel and bit may help here.

I know exactly where you are referring to...and I considered notching that piece as well. It also doesn't help that the photos in the instructions show the house routing around that area, rather than through it. Unfortunately the supplied hoses simply aren't long enough to go where ESS shows them to go.

I just joined the forum as I just got a 2008 m3 convertible in November. Live in Denver burbs and looking to add some power. ESS VT-625 and VF-620 are probably the final two contenders mostly based on price. With luck I can get some advice from others living in Colorado on these kits.

Yes you should be able to move the SC enough so it does not hit the hood. Its common but its also fixable. Mine doesn't hit the hood.

Bumping this old thread.

Does anyone else suffer from the blower rubbing on the hood? Yes or no would like to know what motor mounts you have. I can't see how the blower is adjustable since it's bolted to the head maybe I can adjust the hood but I like the lines and I think it needs 3mm of clearance. Thanks
