Spotted a Silverstone II E93 M3 riding on factory winter package at around 1:45 today, he was travelling south on Warden near Ellesmere... looked exactly like revmmm's car but guessing he wasn't up in the area today.

I saw one yesterday parked on the lakeshore near trafalgar in Oakville and at first thought it might be revmmm's as well but it had FR interior.

I spotted a black E93 SB on Yonge at Adelaide just before 8pm tonight. I was turning SB as well but he got a light ahead of me and I never got caught up to get a better look. KMAX - where you in the area tonight? If so the black was looking pretty clean for all the rain we had today.

Funny, I was stopped at the light at King and I could see you stopped at the lights at Front, and with no one between us I thought I catch up before I turned on Lakeshore, but it looks like you went straight. Wasn't sure it was you so I didn't want someone think I was stalking.
I was just thinking today how great the exhaust sounds in the parking garage and through the tunnel under the GO tracks there.

A little off topic, but I thought it would be best to ask local Toronto guys about this.
For those who reset in between their gas fill ups, how many km are you getting per tank? I know it will vary whether you do more highway or more city. But I do a little highway, but mainly city for the most part. I am currently getting about 300-350 in the city (with a mix of some highway). When I did a lot of highway, I got about 400-420 km on a tank - which wasn't too bad! Im just curious to see if its my driving style or if its normal fuel consumption! Thanks!

My fuel consumption has been pretty terrible lately (similar to you), getting around 350-375 on a tank with a city/highway mix... my commute is up/down the DVP each day and since I'm going the opposite of traffic I don't normally hit much in the way of stop and go either. Half way though my current tank and I'm sitting at around 15.9l/100kms and was around 15.5 on the last tank... I do drive hard (really hard) though so I guess its understandable. Still, filling up twice as often as I was in my 325i stinks!

I just look the other way and pay the man. I try not to think about it. Having said that it "seems" better than I thought. Well worth it IMO!

The last time I filled up, I got 300Kms in before hitting the 50Km reserve. But I generally average between 300-350 around the GTA and I usually drive hard.
On the highway it goes up to about 400-450. Another thing I'm curious to know is what gas do most of you use? I've only used Sunoco 94 since I got the car, and sometimes on long drives out of the city I have a lot of difficulty finding Sunocos. In fact I don't even think there is one downtown. I guess we then have to resort to lower octane. |

I generally try to use 94 when I can. Petro and Esso stations tend to be more convienent for me. In "theory" you should get better gas mileage with 91 octane, but I am sure the difference is minor.

Thanks for the responses, but it seems my car does worse then most of yours.
I can hit 350km per tank, but thats if I really squeeeze the tank, meaning I only fill up when the fuel range is about 20-30 km to empty. I know it will do better on the highway! No doubt, it is worth every penny, and it only cost me $60 bucks last night to fill her up Full with Sunoco 94. I try to use Sunoco Fuel as often as possible, as I have been told by many that it is better fuel then Esso or Petro.

I get about 400 kms /tank around town when I use Shell. If I use other fuels with enthonol I get about 50 kms less.I have gotten as high as 550 kms out of a tank on a 120kph drive to Ottawa on business on Shell 91 octane fuel.Enthonol fuels have less energy per litre than normal fuels.Driving my car last week the around town average was 13.1 litres/100 km.

Totally agree, it doesn't take much to make me forget all about the fuel consumption... ie. a quick blast up to 8k rpm in 2nd gear.
For gas I normally rotate between Shell 91 (close to home) and Sunoco 94 (close to work)... both are Top Tier Gasoline per BMW's standards and to be honest I don't notice much if any difference between the two. I stay away from Esso gas even through their stations are everywhere.

I use only Shell V power and I'm getting around 16.3 L/100km all conservative city driving.

My Brother and I are both at 17.1 L/100km...almost all city driving. Our cars only have about 3000km on them though so hopefully as they loosen up, milage will get a bit better...although unlikely as we are using more RPM now after break in . We both use Petro Canada 91.
