Can you post more details about this install? How are you getting iPhone video to the car? Looks great!

With my limited knowledge of Slingbox, I can understand how the tv feed can get to the iPhone, but how is the video going from the iPhone to the car? I have the smartphone integration kit but to my knowledge, you can't play videos that way. Must be some other hardware/software? Is this a Slingbox feature to play iPhone on car?

I've been wanting to get TV as well and this looks like an awesome idea, however I just checked slingbox's site and according to their info, 3G is not supported when using an iPhone I guess that means no tv unless it works well on edge

How are you pealing off just the video - OR is the media integration unit also passing audio to the OEM A/V system? Are you using the Analog AUX in the center console?

ATT 3G here in US blocks the iphone using slingbox thru 3G, only Wifi is allowed, but they allow 3G for slingbox for other phones..??...to me, it doesn't make sense. So, in order for the iphone to use 3G for slingbox, u must jailbreak the phone, and install the 3G unrestrictor to " fool" the iphone that u are using Wifi ( actually u using 3G)....it works real well......before i got alek's great product, i only watch thru the small iphone screen, and now...using the oem screen.....is amazing.....

The link above in the thread has been removed, can someone else post how the video from iPhone is being displayed thru the internal Nav Screen?
Thanks, Pesh |

I have an iPhone 3G running slingbox as well. Will seriously consider purchasing an A/V kit from aleks if it is practical enough. |
