What springs?!?!
Hey all, I am lowering my car pretty soon. It's an e90 WITH EDC! Do I need to order different springs? I was thinking H&R. But I wasn't sure if the EDC made a difference on what springs to order. I've seen them on a couple sites that sell the springs but it doesn't specify EDC or anything. so I decided to ask you guys Thanks in advance!
P.S. who is the lowest/ best priced? < stupid noob question

Neither H&R or Eibachs are EDC nor non-EDC specific so it shouldn't matter. I have EDC and went with Eibach because of a little less lowering in the front and I was able to get more info from Eibach than from H&R regarding spring rates. The lower price didn't hurt either.
Good luck! BC

so the eibachs aren't as low as the H&R's? But they are less expensive... I'm guessing the springs are the same design on DEC and non-EDC. How long does it take to DIY and do I need an alignment afterwards?

A spring job is not an easy job to DIY. Not saying that it can't be done, but it will take at least 4-5 hours and a lot of patience. You will need an allignment afterwards.
I wouldn't attempt this if you're a noob!

It's about 3-4 hours on labor. A professional 4 Wheels alignment is recommended after springs installation.

With that said, I've always found (and so have most of the customers I have helped) that H&R has the best formula for this. Of course, if coils are an option, you can make your own determination as to where in the compromise-scale you want to put your own car, but if springs are what fits the budget... I suggest H&R! Hope this helps |

I'd go H&R(and did), second choice would be RDSport.

I ordered H&R... I love the RD sport but the drop is a little aggressive for NY streets. Eibach isn't much of a difference so H&R is the best compromise IMO.

The RD gives an extra .2" of a drop up front, which is exactly what was needed. The H&Rs definitely look good but that extra .2" definitely helps, IMO. But then again Manny you know I like to ride low. I'll be going with RD until someone comes out with a EDC friendly coilover.
