2013 bearings and Injectors ?!

Hey Guys,

just bought a 2013 Comp 6 Speed build in april 2013, it got 40k on the odo no TA or RB records, wondering if I should change the RB? since I have heard that bmw changed the bearings in 2013?

also I have read about the injectors failures, I can get some Bosch ones for less than $40 bux, so wondering If I should replace them too?!

At that mileage, I wouldn't worry about either, at least not for another 20-40k. The bearing material was updated but the clearances were not so they still wear. You'd honestly prob be good up till about 100k. Do some research and form you own opinion because advice widely varies. I just had a motor eat it's main bearings at 109k, so RBs wouldn't have helped that. It had the older bearings and the RBs didn't look that bad(for an s65), besides the first three that were taken out by the main's debris. Do what gives you confidence.

I agree with powerbait on both; with the later bearings in I'd personally hold back for now (although I had mine done below 40k), but you need to form your own opinion. There is a lot of information around, one good start is here:

I wouldn't worry at al about the TAs as they tell you when its time without ruin anything else.

Good luck!
