Poly windows

Hey all,

Curious about the purpose of louvers on the 1/4 window. Are they just for ventilation? I'm only doing events where the front windows are required to be down. Do they see any other purpose?

just helps with cabin air evacuation. i kinda wish i got them, but at the same time, i wanted the oem look.
with my interior stripped, i get a huge amount of wind buffering at 100+ mph. oddly, it doesn't happen with my trunk floor cover installed. i imagine the vented quarters might help with this or general interior windyness.

My car is driven 2+ hours to the track sometimes and stays outside at hotel, etc. As much as I like the look and function I don't think I could swing it due to not being waterproof.

considering in SoCal majority of the event's are windows down, having the vented 1/4 windows help with getting air out of the cabin.

The louvers don't do anything. The air is high pressure inside of the cabin so you don't get a lot of flow into the car from openings in the rear glass unless you duct the air to something.
