New toy- back into an M3
Hey guys
Wanted to share the latest toy I’ve picked up couple of weeks ago. I’m a bit of a bmw fan having had a fair few over the last 20 ish years. My friends think I’m sick, as I don’t seem to hold onto them long. But I enjoy the buying, tinkering, driving and then moving on. Problem is I end up buying models I’ve had before haha. Anyways having recently sold my OG M2 I was itching for another car. Was thinking of M3/4 as I haven’t had an S55 motor yet but then kept seeing this E92 advertised locally. And it was manual. Funny story though I already have in my name a beautiful E90 M3 comp which I sold to my friend after owning it for 7 days. I just wanted a turbo and the low down torque they provide and the usable fun without needing to rev for days so he got it off me. Gorgeous car!! Anyways long story short… picked her up ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I’ve had 2x E92’s before , and 2x E90’s. Always loved the Test pipes and tune and the bump you feel midrange. So within a week organised these from a local shop in Perth (Euroflow). Awesome to deal with. Awesome fit and once again the midrange bump and little extra noise was perfect. Don’t wanna touch rest of exhaust. Happy with OEM. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not sure what’s next or how long she’s staying around. If anyone’s got some parts worth considering.. maybe new gear knob (Zhp style), wheels maybe let me know. Thanks! |

Still loving driving this thing! Definitely think the manual transmission is the one for me with S65.
Few things I had done over last couple weeks. The soft touch trim was looking bit tired and I had a local guy sort that out for me. Much much nicer! Also found a set of M359 wheels here locally. Previously painted in like a flat grey which I’m not entirely sold on so plan to get them refinished in new year. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

As a manual owner I found myself wanting a dct when I daily drove the car. Now that I do not daily it I am thankful i choose a manual since the e9x dct feels a bit dated compared to new dcts like in the Ferrari 488. Its still a very awesome driving experience to learn with your inputs
