Macht Schnell Pulley belts

Hey y’all I have a 09 E92 DCT and my one of my accessory belts are the double-sided ribbed design. I purchased MS pullies from a form member and noticed ECS, Turner, and a few others recommend the Continental belts that go with the set. At the time, because I was relatively new to the platform, I didn’t realize there were two belt designs. I ended up buying the ones with only single-sided ribbed belts. Does anyone know the correct belt part number from Continental with the double-ribbed design for these Macht Schnell pullies?

Or is that the stock double-sided belt for the AC, Power Steering and Crank fits the MS because ultimately the length is the same and the diameters changed by making the PS pulley bigger and the crank smaller?

Doesn't the 1084 belt have to be grooved on both sides? Our power steering runs counterclockwise, which means the belt runs underneath the pulley, not over it.

Yes but no. Yes it was designed from the factory for a two sided accessory belt. No it doesn’t seem to matter. With the larger MS power steering pulley you’ve got a little more wrap than stock and it drives the pump fine with the single sided belt. I just went through this myself a few weeks ago. Others chimed in that they’ve had no issues for thousands of miles. Mine is working fine.

(The belts pictured above are correct). I ordered mine from fcpeuro.

This all assumes you don’t have an early model 2008 which had a different accessory belt design and power steering pump that went the other direction.

I spoke with the Macht team, and here's what they told me. Basically, I’m supposed to have a smooth power steering pulley, not a grooved one.

The cars with the double-sided OEM belts use Continental Belts 6K1084 and 6K1432 with the Smooth Macht Schnell Power Steering Pulley.

The MS Grooved PS Pulley is for the M3 up to 05/08 production date and uses Gates K060410 and the Continental 6K1432. 06/08+ Macht Schnell Pulley Kit should have the smooth power steering pulley, with the belts I mentioned before.

I looked up the Gates belt and that one is singles sided too. I think the grooved pulley is like he mentioned, for later year M3’s production models, and it probably runs over the the top of the pulley spinning it clockwise.
