Error codes / limp mode E92 M3

Hi all,

I was after some advice. My car keeps going into limp mode under hard acceleration. I throws up 3 error codes, engine issue, traction control, and tyre pressure warning. Turn it off and back on again and the codes disappear. It doesn't happen all the time, if I'm on an hours drive, it might happen once.

Any info would be greatly received.

The more info you give, the better chance someone can help.
First off, what codes are you getting. Do you have the actual codes?
Have you done any mods or recent services?
Replaced throttle actuators ?

My car did the same exact thing. It threw up all the same codes mentioned and would go away after turning the car off and on. It would typically happen if the car was still somewhat cold and you go past 5k rpm in any gear. I found out one of my throttle actuators needs to be replaced.

Yeah get an obd reader and let us know the actual codes to help you better. If you have idrive, what errors are coming up under "vehicle info -> check control"?

As others have said, were going to need a little more info to help you get this nailed down. I have had something like this happen to me twice in the past, once was for the fuel pump, another was for a bad ignition coil that was causing cylinder deactivation under load.

None of those things you mentioned are actual codes but rather generic status messages that are basically useless until you can scan the car and see what is actually being stored. Definitely reply back with more info when you are able!
