I don't feel it's my business to repeat what other people have said, unless they tell me that directly. If others are interested I recommend to look into what I said and take it from there. I think that's helpful enough considering no one else has mentioned it yet.

I see Epic as an innovative company. Can't think of any other tuner that falls into that...except maybe ESS.
Just curious, what was Epic doing before everybody else? I know they’re among the best with the S54 and had some impressive headers. But the SS V1s are just as good and there are many good tuners out there. Maybe I’m just not aware of the chronological order of things, curious what Epic did first/differently.

You were upset with the Karbonious GB for whatever reason and looking to flip the airbox anyway IIRC ...

For what reason didn't you not install the Karbonious intake? couldn't afford it? Not worth it?

^ Yes and yes. I doubt Epic opined on the airbox. Read his commentary in the GB thread, it’s entertaining. Not to further detail this thread though ...

They definitely did and like I said any one else is welcome to do their own research. My reasons for ditching the karbonius is a mile long list but the conversation was the nail in the coffin and the most important reason. Moving on, let's not fill this thread anymore with pointless back and forth and get back to people commenting on their own experiences with epic.

Do it, you won't regret it. Randy is an exceptional tuner.

Just did the same Alpine to Epic 3 months ago, you won't be disappointed.

the ess supercharger and their tune offers the absolute best performance (not just raw hp#s) in my opinion. one goes with the other. i would only run an ess supercharger on my car (if i was going to go that route, but im not) i wouldnt run any other supercharger, even if it were free, but thats just my opinion.

one also does not have to wonder far from the e90 dyno database to see actual results either.

Not likely, but best to ask Epic directly. With all respect to Randy, it's best to source SC tunes from the manufacturer instead of 3rd party.

Same. ESS is still continuously providing component updates to the kit, even when the platform is over 15 years old. Says a lot about a company to continue pushing forward like this.

Manifold got a little facelift also:

Yes. Night and day. Especially if you have a forward x mid pipe.

Dinan does not sell this directly anymore).
Fully concur..."If you just plan on running normal octane, there are plenty of other routes for half the price like Alex Alpine with his stage 2 tune"...

Be selective, informed for overall 'tune' outcomes & value.

i go with a tuner that /has always taken logs. getting a cheap tune is like getting alibaba brakes, why risk your car on something so important?

I’ve been running epic with my BW mid pipe for about 6 months now and it is great. Biggest thing I noticed coming from the stock tune was just the overall smoothness of the car. I didn’t think the stock tune was “unrefined”, but the epic tune just was a step up!

Another thumbs up to Epic / Randy. Thanks for making this smooth and easy.

I spent the past week driving on the stock tune after installing AA test pipes. That was fun!

Randy sent over his tune this afternoon. Initial impressions...

I'll post more thoughts after I get more seat time than the 30 minute drive I made this evening after uploading his tune. It's a welcome change, and the inner child in me is

Think I might keep this car a little longer now.
