Recommendations for RB swap in Atlanta
Im looking for recommendations for BMW shops in or around the ATL area that are well versed in swapping RB and bolts. Searching the issue doesn't bring much.

I know it's a bit of a drive for you, so not sure if it's worth it, but Marcus Schall of Schall Motorsport in Greer, SC is phenomenal. He runs a small shop and just works on BMW's. I just picked up my E92 M3 from him today after having my rod bearings changed and I couldn't be happier. Marcus is very professional, discussed the process with me and was very responsive when I talked with him. I couldn't recommend him highly enough

I used Markert in Lawrenceville when I did mine. I think their name may have changed since then?

Did you select a shop yet? In the same boat, near Atlanta. Want someone that has done a lot of these and won't rush through it.

I have not. My preference for a shop is the same but it seems difficult to determine if any of the previously mentioned shops do this on a routine basis.

Thanks for the shop names but this doesn't really provide much information.

I evaluated a lot of options in GA. Ultimately Harrison did mine. I don’t have many miles since to judge the job but communication was good and they got it done quickly.

I used matrix motorsports in buford, ga. They were the most reasonably price shop I found. I got estimates from eurofed, true, solo, freed performance, etc... The mechanic documented the whole process with pic and videos.

Just picked up a 2008 e92 with 50k miles. Carfax is clean and it's running perfect, but I know I eventually want to do RBs preventatively for my own peace of mind. Currently trying to shop around Atlanta area for quotes but only one I've gotten so far was about $3k and that seems a little high to me based on my research on the forum.
I haven't been able to get in touch with Technica yet and Markert (True Automotive now I guess) told me they would want me to bring the car in and they would look at it to provide me a free estimate. Any other suggestions very welcome! Update: just spoke to Matrix Motorsports in Buford and he seemed very familiar with the RB job and quoted me reasonable labor. |
