Hi! I just wanted to share some install tips and answer some questions I got from others about the sound tube mod. This is for those who are interested in improving the induction noise without the carbon plenum price tag. Hope you guys find it helpful.

I mean….it can be an annoying/droning sound for sure and the ops "upgrade" sounds like a piece of plastic has broken off in a vent/intake or unnatural vibration….not good.

But then again, Amazon canards/wings with a spoiler lip….adding even more drag….so not sure what I expected lol.

Might be that the 718 induction noise isn't pleasant, but the S65 induction sound definitely is.

Yep, leads to a lot of drone in the GT4 cabin and accentuates the blah exhaust note produced by the non X stock 718 exhaust. Experienced it first hand.

But as a guy who's following both forums lately, I found the juxtaposition funny. Porch guys removing the OEM installed part, BMW guys adding the same part aftermarket. Humor would prob hit better if same post made on rennlist since a lot of GT4 guys are former M3 guys.

I always wondered what the noise was when driving the GT4... Damn, I had no clue they added that symposer. I was always wondering where that sound was coming from.

Good job OP, that actually sounds really good. Dare I say better than some of the Carbon Plenums I've heard.

BMS cowl delete would've saved you the trouble.

Good suggestion but I did try that. Made a big difference on my turbocharged 335i, but not much increase for the M3.
