Darn, the Michelin is too tall? Was hoping the 30/65 wouldn't be too tall and have been wanting to pickup some but I guess it runs more closer to the 660 Pirelli diameter than a 645 huh?

Also PSA for anyone curious I got ahold of some cheap 295/35 Yokohama's and I'll run them on the rear but going to also try to test-fit them up front. I think they're at the limit of too tall but I'll try to confirm.

The Michelin is a giant giant tire. I wish it were shorter even if it's as wide as it is

I have them mounted on 11s on my CS. I'll test them in a few weeks because I'm skeptical that they really fit

How can I fully seat the snap rings on the Bimmerworld brass caliper bushing kit for the front?

If I cant get it to work, no biggie.

I'm assuming you don't have any snap ring pliers, so take some small needle nose pliers and pry the snap ring open so that one spot can seat properly.

Edit:
From the other thread someone posted the snap ring goes on the other side. I think they may be right and you have the insert installed backwards. Not 100% sure on this but I'd look into it to confirm. I don't recall seeing the snap ring on the inside by the piston like that when I've changed pads.

I have snap ring pliers and Bimmerworld instructions say to install the snap ring on the inside next to the piston. Its just that there is no room for the snap ring to sit flush towards the back. The crescent shape towards the back is thicker and makes contact.

My mistake. I checked and the ones I have are ECS, so a different design and no snap ring on the inside.

I would contact Bimmerworld and see what they say. I'd be tempted just to file down the snap ring in the location of the high spot to have it sit down more and seat better.

It looks like the snap ring is thinner towards the holes. Maybe try rotating it a bit.

Yep, tried doing that. Not enough room. I'll get a BBK or some type of retrofit soon so no biggie.

As for the brake cooling shield I installed earlier, I paired it up with some brake scoops mentioned earlier. Here they are installed. I have a feeling that these wont last long at full lock as they rub with ARC8 18x10 ET25. Not sure how to install the brake hose as their is no room behind the strut (inside), might have to go in front (outside) of the strut but there will be some hose rubbing. I might have enough room on the sway bar.

while i appreciate the thought and mindset of these lower arm cooling scoops, its a very harsh and hot environment. i'm thinking the heat and wind pressure is gong to kill those zip ties pretty quick.

What is the current best bucket seats mounting kit? I am thinking VAC with their anti-sub mount. I am probably going for a 6 point harness with seats.

The BK mounts using the oem electric sliders are awesome - so nice being able to back in and out to tighten up the harnesses. b4hand I think you might be a bit too tall for these though. I was too close to the roof for my liking with them so at your height I could see this possibly being an issue for you.

I can vouch for BK mounts on oem power sliders. I wired up the e30 sunroof buttons right into the opening of the mount for my Cobra Nogaro clubsports. Pretty slick, but some words of caution on the install for anyone going this route (pm me)

I wonder if I'm the first person in the States to have these specific seats? In either case, I'm 6'4 and with the Cobra's mounted in the lowest mount position (the slider track relief in the moulding of the Nogaro allows this extra low position) my 220 pound frame is now 2" lower in the car with stock thickness ass pad and my Bell doesn't bounce off the headliner when things get a little rough.

As I've gone down the list of mods, I've thought a few times "this is my favorite mod" until the next one, but as of right now these seats on these mounts change everything. This undoubtedly will be my favorite mod for some time to come.

That hole was on the do88 DCT shroud and would have been bleeding air into the middle, front bumper area. My under tray is already in poor shape, I don't need junk getting in there too.

What lightweight batteries are you guys and gals using these days? I'm on the border of tt2/3 so I don't think I need anything extremely light, just something reliable. Pretty sure my battery is on its way out.
