The Nankang are now available in 19" useful sizes and ok price. Anyone has tried them and care to comment?

Tried them once in 295/30r18 on 18x10, after running 275 NT01. They were substantially quicker. However, to me they changed a lot in behavior after a couple laps of pushing hard heated them up. They didn't get too much slower, but required car control confidence, and willingness to slide and correct without losing speed. Very fun tire.

I tossed them after 13 heat cycles.

Worked a bit on my AIM MXS install today. No real great Pnp mounting options for this car, so i bought a plate for the e46 and modified it. Next up is wiring.

Do you guys go to the CanBus by the JBE or by the OBD for your aims? I need to run power by an add a fuse to the fuse box so i was going to run a 4 wire loom over that direction anyhow. Few photos

Lol! On the mount i don't really care about...they are hidden. I plan to sand down the plastic edges but there's no great way to cut this plastic, it just likes to tear and chunk apart regardless of how fine the blade is.

Will do! Just FYI i am wiring to the CANBUS hi lo near the OBD. Reason being is that since it's at the end of the CanBus line it will not be interrupted if the splice is/becomes faulty. If i do it near the JBE, it could get interrupted and send the CanBus into a frenzy.

ECR day 2 with NASA Texas. Found some time learning the track and was able to move up to first for TT3. Good weekend class had 5 guys sign up but only had 3 for the event : hopefully we can get more guys in Texas for TT3. Overall a good event. Here's my quickest lap of the weekend. Oh and it was hot!

How much weight do you reckon for everything on the tarp? Includes all oem seatbelts, but not the buckles as they were already gone.

XCUSE_M3 isn't the only one who gets to post videos from NASA TT at ECR today! Enjoy some Chevy small block sounds.

Set a new PB of 2:09.224 which I was pleased with. Haven't dug into the data to look at predictive.

Jump to about 5:30 for when I get up to speed, the first lap is the warm-up and then the first flyer was a dud due to some grid position mismatches.

Edit: here's the second session from Sunday morning. Despite Sunday being the faster day for most people, there were also a lot of offs and spins.

To keep the theme going, here's a video from ECR with NASA. Not my best lap LOL. I have been running with NASA for 6 years and have never had a DQ for 4 off until today.

First off, it was great to meet Mark aka XCUSE_M3 and Dan aka dparm.

This weekend was my first time to ever run ECR in any configuration. I drove up Thursday from Louisiana to do the Test and Tune on Friday. It was so hot, I only ran the morning sessions on Friday. I got lucky and got in behind Scott Noble and his GT3RS. Managed a 2:03.7 on the second session on my scrub pirellis.

On Saturday, I put on some 8 HC A7's and ran a 2:03 per NASA (2:02.9 per AIM) for the warm up session which put me 3rd overall. However, I only managed a 2:03.5 for the timed session. Again, it was so hot, I skipped the afternoon sessions. My time held up for first, but Mark ran a 2:03.x in the final session and it was very very hot, so I knew I'd need to send it Sunday to give him a run.

I decided I was only going to run the first session Sunday and let the chips fall where they may. With Laura and Marco bearing down on New Orleans/Baton Rouge, I wanted to get home by dinner.

I was gridded second and managed a 2:03 flat on first flyer. By the time I got to turn 3 or 4 I was up nearly a 1 second on my +/-. Tires were really grippy. I kept pushing. I over drove 9 and rather than cut my losses I tried to push through 10. I was aimed at rut at the beginning of the exit curb and tried to straddle it but went 4 off instead. 4 off is automatic DQ, so I just pitted in and loaded up. Honestly, I am not sure if I had stayed on if I would've been able to beat Mark. The car has a 2:01.x or better in it. I plan to be back next year.
